Why we learn ABC - Positive Reading
Are you really using the Alphabets to make your life positive. Do you think we learn Alphabets for talking? Or is it for reading or is it for both? Now after you read this article your answer might change.
How does a child learn to speak his native language? Is it by learning the alphabets or just by listening to other people speak? Think about it. How is your comfort level in your native language? Did you learn the alphabets or was it that your just learned from hearing from your parents?
This makes it very clear that we learn alphabets only to read and how much do we use what we have learnt. Reading comes last in our entire schedule. And the first thing you learn in life is ABC.. and that too for reading. People tend to forget that.
So many people asked me as how do you do all this…. first answer to this is “Reading” , we are all the same but it’s just the actions which you take makes all the difference. Today I would like to share a small story on how I started reading and hope this could help people to start reading. The real reading came into my life when I was 23 years old. I know it’s very late. However I always believed that it doesn’t matter when you’re starting, what matters is where you’re going and at what speed. The time before the age of 23 was my comics’ time and reading text books so that I score for my exams in school and college.
Age 23, was the time I was in a search of how do people really become successful. During my search, it became very clear that every successful person is a good reader. However, reading was not my forte and didn’t have the patience to sit down read a long paragraph of any book. I ignored this concept for a while but then I came across a quote by Charles “Tremendous” Jones - “You are the same today that you are going to be in five years from now except for two things: the people with whom you associate and the books you read. BANG!!!! This quote haunted me day after day and one day I made my up mind that only the search for success won’t take me anywhere. I needed to be more practical.
Then I looked around how to start reading, first thing I found out that whenever you start reading for the first time always select the book on the topic which really interests you. I looked into myself and found that I was in a craze of making quick money and be a rich person and the word which I would relate myself was millionaire. Ever of you might have a different interest of what you want to be in future. After that went to a book shop and looked at the most attractive cover and found the “Secret of the millionaire’s mind” by T. Harv Eker. (Recommend everyone when you read the book).
First Rule, when to buy a first book to bring a change to your life, we should always go for the most attractive cover, because that would bring a sense of attachment to the book after you buy it. Read through it to see if I understand the language and was comfortable with front size and layout. Found it to be the perfect book for me and best thing was it that it was on sales as it was a defective piece; it had the first two pages damaged. Next thing I learnt was, whenever you take any a new step to your improvement, Negative energy will always step in and we should be very careful and protect our self. And half the time my mind was focused on the damage of the book than the content. Other thing I learned is whenever you start something new, never wait for everything to be perfect to start something new, start with what you have and remaining required things will follow.
So I decide the buy this book, but then in my mind it was a battle “Knowledge vs. defect”. Until I reached the cashier, whenever to start something new, there will be a battle positive and negative. I paid the cashier and I felt free from the negative energy. And it was almost like winning a battle.
This was the 1st book I read from cover to cover.
To summaries what I learnt from my first reading venture :
Now some of you might say I read Novels and short stories. If you look them from a positive mind, all these novels have both negative and positive emotions so when you read it your mind goes through the same emotions and experience. The problem is the mind does understand if you reading the story or not and it tends to believe that you are experiencing it. That is when you mind starts attractive negativity.
So go to the bookstore and go great positive book and if there any slightest of negativity in it don't buy. Let me know which book did you buy?
