I have been writing about positive relationship and today was thinking about writing about Parents. But some of you have asked why am I not writing about other major aspects of Positive Life i.e. Relationship, Health, Finance, Education & Spirituality. So today I have decided to talk about Positive Health, the next aspect to Positive living.
For Positive Health you have to eat Positive Food. If someone asks me to pick one of the main negativity in our food, I would pick our Sugar intakes. In the current world, our bodies are going through Sugar Tsunami 🍭🌊and I will tell you how!!!!
We all love sweets, candy, cakes, Cola, Ice-cream, juices etc... there is a long list. The problem is, there is so much of hidden sugar that we are pushing into our body by the illusion created by good marketing companies. Now days people have no other choice than to fall into a Sugar Trap, where companies in both food and medical industry are minting money out of it. This needs to be understood.
If I write everything what I learned about Sugar, it will really make you feel bad and upset so thought it would be best to split it up into parts so that you could slowly digest the truth 😊 Some truth will hurt and Sugar is one of them🍬
Do you know, if you go to a supermarket and remove all the items which had sugar as one of their ingredient, only 20% items would remain in the shelves. Is it not shocking that 80% of items you buy has some kind of sugar in it and all you need is 5-10 teaspoons of sugar in a day. Then how do you expect people to have a Positive Health.
Now the next question that you would ask is what should be our daily intake of sugar. According to the American Heart Association, the maximum amount of added sugars you should eat in a day are:
Men: 150 calories per day (37.5 grams or 9 teaspoons).
Women: 100 calories per day (25 grams or 6 teaspoons).
Let us consider : 1 teaspoon of sugar = 4 grams of sugar
And do a test and see where we stand. This weekend go to a supermarket, look at the nutrition labels to the common items that you purchase and check how much sugar are you taking in with you daily/weekly purchase??? That itself will blow your mind… Or go to the kitchen, check the most common item that you buy from the super market and check it’s Sugar.. and Let me know and give me some examples?
