A son took his father to a restaurant to enjoy a delicious dinner. Happy Vishu & Happy New Year to all & feels great that it has fallen on a Thursday :) Wish I could write this on 1st January. Vishu marks the beginning of a new year celebrated in Kerala, India. It is considered a festival of light and fireworks and decorating lights and bursting of firecrackers (Vishupadakkam) is part of the celebration. Other elements of Vishu include buying of new clothes (Puthukodi) for the occasion, the tradition of giving money called Vishukkaineetam and the Vishu feast or Sadya.
Most of us eagerly wait for this day, however have your ever thought WHY? Is it because of the firecrackers, new clothes or the feast? Or is that we are looking for something new?
