How often do you compare yourself with others? Do you look at the mirror and ask why do I have small nose or lips, count the pimples on your face, complain about your figure etc etc etc… the questions like these just goes on!!!! Have you ever thought how do these questions come into your mind, in the first place? It’s simple!!!! There is a standard which is set in your mind to which you are constantly comparing yourself to. These standards are something that your surroundings have just conditioned your mind to believe that one is right and other is wrong. What if everyone in the world had pimples on the face? I am sure the world would have a competition to find who had the best pimpled face😊 Think About it!!!!!!!!! Let me give you an example.... What if you were born in a island, where only your family exist and no-one else, no Facebook and no network. Where you don't have anyone to compare, other than your parents. Would you ask the same questions when you look at yourself in the mirrors? I don't think so because what would you compare yourself to?? So this makes you the most beautiful person in the island. Don't you think it’s all in your mind? Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. If you believe that you are beautiful can anyone else prove you wrong? Never.. But you have to believe 😊
This all came into light when I did my MSc Business Psychology. I learned about cosmetics industry marketing … In India they sell fairness cream and in US they sell tanning cream. In India people are made to believe being fair is beautiful and in US ,people believe that having a right tan is beautiful. Regions where majority of the people have curly hair they promote straight hair as fashion and vice versa. This creates a demand so that they can sell their products. Hope you are getting my point. The concept of “Beauty/Fashion” is all made up . Whenever you are shown a concept/idea for a number of times, you tend to believe that it’s true, slowly you start liking it and finally you make it a standard and then try to meet that standard. I am just trying to open your eyes so that you can see it from a different ange. All I am saying is "Focus on looking your best and not like someone else" From today, stop comparing yourself to others (others can be anyone: friends, actors, models etc). Keep thinking that only your family exists, work on yourself and if you make a daily improvement to the best of your ability, that’s good enough. Start loving your face, your body, your life, your family but first you have to accept them all, by saying "I am created this way and everyday I am going to work on myself and be MY BEST". Once you begin to accept yourself, I assure you that people will start accepting you. Once you stop comparing yourself to others, people will stop comparing you with them. Finally, once you start loving everything that you have, people will be forced to love you the way you are. Stop comparing yourself to others and Release that energy of loving yourself to your world 😊 "To Love Yourself, Stop Comparing your life with others" Live a Positive Life - Deek Parassini - SAID Did you enjoy the article?
